How getting started works

  1. Call the intake line

Call (727) 555-0142 and ask for intake. Delia Kessling asks what you need help with and when you can come.

  2. Get matched

Within one business day, Delia calls back with a suggested clinician and a few appointment times. You can ask for someone else.

  3. Fill in the forms

We send a portal link for the consent forms and a short questionnaire. Keep your insurance card handy.

Your first session

The first session is 50 minutes. At the office, arrive ten minutes early and check in at the front desk; your clinician comes out to meet you.

Most of the hour is about what brings you in. Your clinician also explains privacy and its limits, how they work, and what the next few sessions could look like. Ask anything, including about training and fees.

Video sessions

Video sessions for clients located in FL.

Video sessions run through our client portal, on a phone or a computer. You need to be in Florida during the session, because our clinicians are licensed in Florida. Video and office sessions cost the same.

Insurance and fees

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Florida Blue
  • UnitedHealthcare

In-network plans differ by clinician, so the intake coordinator checks your plan before your first session.

Out of network? Each month we give you a superbill, an itemized receipt you can send to your plan for possible reimbursement.

Payment

We accept credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards.

Questions about starting

How much does a session cost without insurance?

$150 for a 50-minute individual session, $175 for a 50-minute couples or family session, and $60 for a group session. We keep a few reduced-fee places for people who need them; ask the intake coordinator.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

If you do not use insurance, you can get a written estimate of the expected cost of your care before you start. Usually, providers must give one to people who pay without insurance. Ask us for yours, or read about it at cms.gov.

Do you take my insurance?

Plans differ by clinician. Give the intake coordinator your plan name and member ID, and she checks your benefits before the first session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours ahead. A late cancellation or a missed session is charged at the self-pay rate, because insurance does not pay for missed sessions.
